Description
Tri Nature Lavender & Patchouli Colour Protect Conditioner
Tri Nature Says:
Lavender & Patchouli (Colour Protect) Conditioner is a gentle and protective naturally derived shampoo with a divine Lavender & Patchoui essential oil based fragrance, formulated to nourish and protect colour treated hair.
The sulphate-free conditioner is exceptionally gentle and will not strip colour from hair. The moisturising conditioner is fortified with Wheat Proteins, Amino Acids, Panthenol, Vitamin E and extracts of Horsetail & Nettle to protect colour and ensure shiny, radiant hair.
My Experience:
Unlike other brands, the Tri Nature Shampoos and Conditioners don’t strip your hair and then refill it with stuff each time you wash. What this means is that you won’t find the need to change out what you’re using every few months. And if you have coloured hair, it will help the colour last as there are no harsh chemicals to strip it.
The Colour Protect Conditioner is suitable for all ages and all hair types. It is completely sulfate free so ideal for the most sensitive scalps.
Lavender & Patchouli (Colour Protect) is absolutely suitable for people with itchy scalps, dandruff, eczema, dermatitis or psoriasis on their head, behind their ears or down the back of their neck. As Colour Protect contains no nasty chemicals, it will not irritate or further aggravate any of the above conditions.
I don’t use the Lavender & Patchouli (Colour Protect) very often as I have dry hair and prefer the Moisture Rich, but I do almost always have a bottle of it in the shower and I like to use it every now and then for a change of smell.
NOTE: Depending on what you have been using before, while your hair and scalp are rebalancing, there may be a period of up to 3 weeks where your hair goes limp. Push through it and it will be fantastic. This may not happen at everyone. I like to make people aware because it happened to me and I thought the products were rubbish when that was not the case.
Fragrance Description:
Tri Nature describes this smell as: Fresh Lavender floral notes are combined with a Rosemary heart and balanced on a rich, warm, musky, woody base of Patchouli.
Lavender and Patchouli are the predominant smells and yet this Shampoo doesn’t smell like an aging hippie. It actually smells pretty good!
All of the pure herbal extracts and many of the naturally derived materials Tri Nature use have their own distinctive and often not very pleasant smell. Most of them are certainly not attractive enough to satisfy the consumer’s requirements for pleasant aroma. Tri Nature therefore add essential oil blends or essential oil based fragrances to the products so that a commercially acceptable result is obtained. All fragrances used by Tri Nature are phthalate-free.

Directions for Use:
After washing, squeeze excess water from hair. Apply and massage gently through hair. For best results leave for 1 – 3 minutes before rinsing.
The Colour Protect Conditioner is very thick. Adjust the amount you use and the length of time you leave it in according to your hair type. My hair is quite long and goes 3/4 of the way down my back but it is very dry. I use only a 10c piece worth of conditioner and brush it through my hair. This is more than enough. I leave it in for a few minutes and only lightly rinse it out. This leaves my hair looking shiny and feeling soft and conditioned but not greasy.
