Description
Tri Nature Sanazone Food Safe Disinfectant
Tri Nature Says:
A food safe, disinfectant for cleaning and sanitation of all domestic and commercial food surface areas. Conforms with AQIS (Australian Quarantine Inspection Service) requirements for the cleaning and post cleaning sanitation of all domestic and commercial food surface areas.
My Experience:
This is a great replacement for Pine-O-Cleen kitchen spray. Sanazone comes in either odourless (food safe) or Lemon Myrtle smell and I recommend it for kitchen and food prep areas like bench tops, kids high chairs, chopping boards, the fridge, etc.
Sanazone Odourless is AQIS approved, which means it is suitable for use in commercial food preparation areas.
Sanazone Odourless is ideal for sensitive noses. If you prefer a smell other than Lemon Myrtle, you can add your own essential oils! 6 drops per 500ml diluted is about right, but it does come down to a matter of preference. Some people prefer a stronger scent.
Grey water, septic and bio-cycle system safe, Sanazone kills odours and germs on surfaces and in the air on contact.
Sanazone is designed to kill germs but it does have some cleaning properties. If you are just doing a general maintenance clean, Sanazone is fine to use anywhere you like If you have more heavy duty cleaning to do, I recommend Supre Multipurpose Cleaner.
The 500ml bottles are a premixed Express version of this product. You can purchase the Express version to trial it. Once you know you love it, invest in the concentrates of 1L, 5L or 20L and dilute it down yourself to use.
The concentrate works out to about $0.65 per 500ml bottle for commercial strength (hospital grade) compared with supermarket equivalents at $4-$5 per 500ml bottle.
The 500ml Express bottle is not designed for re-use and will break down after a couple of uses. When buying the concentrate, you are better off to purchase one of the commercial grade Poly Spray bottles that will last 25 years and has a much nicer spray on it.
Another handy tip is keep a 50ml spray bottle of this in your handbag. Great for emergency disinfection of public toilets and in hotel showers and bathrooms when you travel. Some exciting varieties of foot germs are highly contagious
Where to Use:
A lot of people think they have no use for a disinfectant but here are just some of the ways you can use Sanazone:

What’s Improved About Sanazone?
First and most importantly, the New and Improved Sanazone does the same job it always has. You won’t notice any changes, other than you can also get it in Lemon Myrtle smell.
The original Sanazone had an active ingredient in it called Sphagnum Moss. Tri Nature have a very strict policy around where they source their ingredients. There are a number of boxes that must be ticked including that the ingredients must come from sustainable plantations and ethical suppliers (people who treat their workers fairly, are not causing destruction to the environment, etc.).
There has only been one supplier of Sphagnum Moss who met this criteria. Unfortunately, in recent times, it seems this has changed. Tri Nature decided that they would rethink the product rather than compromise on their criteria.
It turns out that Sphagnum Moss was so awesome at its job of disinfecting that it had to be replaced with not one, but THREE ingredients. The combination of Oregano, Rosemary and Thyme have replaced Sphag Moss as the active ingredient.
Oregano, Rosemary and Thyme extracts are well known for their potent antimicrobial benefits and have been combined synergistically to boost antimicrobial performance.
Oregano, although a widely recognized herb used in Mediterranean cuisine, and was traditionally used as an antiseptic.
Thyme has been used in traditional medicine to treat both infection and inflammation.
Rosemary herbal extracts are known for providing antioxidant protection.
